Welcome to the new site for the Australian Boer Goat Association.  Everyone is welcome to browse and enjoy the site, but only members will be able to add their animals to the register.

This registry is for you, the goat breeder, to be able to register your animals cheaply and efficiently, we are currently working with Hunter Livestock Exports and Chevredor so that our registrations are accepted with their customers.

If you are interested in becoming a member join online if you are not online please contact our Registrar- you will find the contact details on the Contact Us page.

Once your membership is all sorted, I will send you an email telling you how you can access the registration part of the site.

This is a new way for an breed registry to work.  There are many different features that are planned for this web site so that all members can have a presence on the Internet.  It does not matter if you have 1 goat or 1000.  It makes no difference if you are a commercial breeder or one that loves to show their animals.

Most of the work is done online but we will have members that cannot handle that and we are happy to help them out in any way we can and snail mail is always an option.

As a registrar for a dairy goat assoc for almost 10 years I was asked to set up the data base for this one

I have a wonderful Website designer, who is an awesome programmer and this site will have features no other registry will have, all aimed at helping you.

If you are already a regional body we would also be happy to help you - please get in touch!

So come and join us and let the fun begin.

We have joined up with Livestock Registries ( Click Livestock Registries to join ) for an easier system. Livestock Registries is also a registry for Dairy Goats,Dorper Sheep, Cats and Dogs All joining applications for any of these breeds are easily and quickly done through Livestock Registries.

Non members will be able to see  approved pedigrees, but members will only be able to view the breed they are breeding when logged in, but you will be able to view all animals when not logged in.

Because of the speed and efficiency we can make use of employing  the Internet,we have the support of large  international commercial buyers and international exporters of goats. I have been working closely with several and have  in place a system that they can easily use.

Your buyers are the ones that should have a system in place that is quick efficient and inexpensive and that is exactly what I have done for them, the only tedious task is the one where you input all your pedigrees, but once done they never need to be done again.

Important NOTE:
If your buyer/exporter has some of your animals sold for overseas, make sure your PAPERWORK is up to date and sent to me at least three weeks before animals are due to go.We have already had the situation where the paperwork arrives here 6 hours before the flight. No one can be expected to achieve that kind of time frame. I do not want to implement the rules like I have with the dairy  goat breeders,no paperwork = no sale.  Also no payment at time of order, the paperwork will not be processed. Which by the way worked well.
